Language education

Language education is the teaching and learning of a language. Language education can include improving a learner's mastery of their native language. Language education is a branch of applied linguistics. There are three principal views such as structural view, functional view and interactive view. The structural view treats language as a system of structurally related elements to code meaning. The functional view sees language as a vehicle to express a certain function such as requesting something. An interactive view sees language as a vehicle for the creation and maintenance of social relations, focusing on patterns of moves, acts, negotiation and interaction found in conversational exchanges.
